Royalton Township Planning Commission Meeting

June 30, 2015

Approved

 

7 pm, June 30, 2015, Chair Leslie Orvis called the Royalton Township Planning Commission Meeting to order with Members Gary Valvoda, Duane Swanson, and Roberta Folkestad present. Member Nancy Dahlin Teich was absent.

 

Motion by Member Swanson to approve the agenda with the addition of a property line adjustment for Thomas and Amanda Visser, second by Member Valvoda, motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion by Member Swanson to approve the May 26, 2015, planning commission minutes with the correction of deleting the “A” under  #1; Flagpole and flag, second by Member Valvoda, motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion by Chair Orvis to approve the June 16, 2015, working planning commission meeting minutes as read, second by Member Swanson, motion carried unanimously.

 

Sign permitting fee will be discussed at the next working meeting.

 

The flag cable and flag letter for the township newspaper will be worked on at the next working meeting.  

 

There are new advertising signs on the junctions of Pokegama Lake Road (Pine County 7) and Harvest and Canary Roads. No sign permits have been issued. It is almost time for a one year review of the conditional use permit issued to Northern Hollow Winery. Motion by Member Swanson to forward to the board perhaps a letter should be drafted to the owners requesting the one year  review at the winery about the first week of August, when there can be sign discussion, second by Member Valvoda, motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion by Member Swanson to move to the board removal of the old Royalton Town Hall sign located at the south end of Royalton Road, second by Chair Orvis, motion carried unanimously.

 

There will be discussion about a picture of the town hall for the township association’s website at a working meeting.

 

FYI: The clerk received a request for a minor subdivision on Hazelnut Road. The attorney requesting the subdivision was informed a survey is needed for all land splits in Royalton Township.

 

The next working meeting will be July 21, 2015, at 6:30 pm.  

 

 

After viewing the documentation, motion by Member Folkestad to pass to the board to approve of the property line adjustment adding 3.5 acres making 10 acres into approximately 13.5 acres for Thomas & Amanda Visser, and to send approval letters to their attorney and Pine County, second by Member Swanson, motion carried unanimously.

 

The next planning commission meeting will be held at 7:00, July 28, 2015. Being no further planning commission business, motion by Member Swanson to adjourn, second by Member Valvoda, motion carried unanimously. 7:25 pm, meeting adjourned.
